About

Rudrabhishek is the abhishek of the Shivling with milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar and Ganga jal while reciting the Rudri (Rudrashtadhyayi) from the Shukla Yajurveda. It is the most beloved worship of Mahadev and is believed to remove negativity, disease and planetary afflictions. Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, Ujjain

Mahakaleshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the only one that faces south (Dakshinamukhi).
