About
Chandra represents the mind, mother, emotions, peace and fluids in the body in Vedic astrology. When Chandra is weak, debilitated, retrograde or afflicted in the kundli, or during its Mahadasha and Antardasha, a person may experience anxiety, mood swings, depression, sleep problems and strain with mother. Chandra Graha Shanti Puja is the Vedic remedy: the graha is invoked on its mandal with white flowers and cloth, its beej mantra is chanted 11,000 times (as prescribed in the shastras), and a havan with Palash samidha completes the anushthan. Daan of rice, milk, silver, white cloth is done in your name. The puja is performed on Monday, the day ruled by Chandra.

Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, Ujjain
