About
Narayan Bali is performed for the liberation of ancestors who died an untimely or unnatural death, and Nagbali removes the sin of killing a snake (sarpa hatya dosh). Together, Narayan Nagbali is prescribed in the Skanda and Padma Puranas for pitra dosh, childlessness and persistent misfortune. It is traditionally performed over three days at Trimbakeshwar.
