About
Ketu represents detachment, spirituality, past karma and moksha in Vedic astrology. When Ketu is weak, debilitated, retrograde or afflicted in the kundli, or during its Mahadasha and Antardasha, a person may experience sudden setbacks, isolation, mysterious illness, lack of direction and accidents. Ketu Graha Shanti Puja is the Vedic remedy: the graha is invoked on its mandal with grey flowers and cloth, its beej mantra is chanted 17,000 times (as prescribed in the shastras), and a havan with Kusha samidha completes the anushthan. Daan of blanket, sesame, seven grains, dog feeding is done in your name. The puja is performed on Tuesday, the day ruled by Ketu.
